What a blast.......

When was it and Where Was it

Scrapbook Expo Duluth
July 15-16, 2016

Gwinnett Center
 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway
 Duluth, Georgia 30097, United States

If you have never been you have got to go.

Events and Activities we did

First off we did the

MAKE & TAKE on Thursday Night.
5:00 Pm to Midnight.
Cost was $45.00

But wait don't trip out.  Look what we made

The one on the right is what I did.  I still want to do more to it.

The one on the right is mine

Mine is below

On the following I didn't get pics yet of mine.
 Will add them as I finish some and as I take pics of all.

Couple Picture of others in the room

We also played Bingo and Won Prizes.  Lots of Prizes.  I unfortunately didn't win anything.  And because of our Hotel Room giving us a hard time we had to leave at 9:45 to check into our hotel by 10:00 pm.  Oh and should I mention we paid for this back in May.  They said if we didn't arrive by 10 they could not hold our room.  Never stay in the following Hotel.

Extended Stay America
Will tell you that story in my next post.
================================

Friday
we got up super early to be there in time for the Early Bird Sales.
Which sadly we still were not early enough for.  But We shopped and shopped.
===============================

First I hit....
===============================

They have great eyelets I have bought for years.
But at the convention they have some on sale for $1.50 each.  Some $3.00 each.

My Favorite ones

Aren't these just so cute.

Then I learned something from his store.
======================================
Here is an idea I never thought of.  Take an Eyelet then add a brad.
They took a Leaf Eyelet and added a Lady Bug Brad

======================================

Our Next Class
was on Friday

In this class we learned how to use a quelling tool to curl create beautiful
dimensional flowers.  We also received a step by step color instructions to
help guide us along with our instructor.

We also received a coupon for a Cling Stamp Set of our choice
redeemable at there booth.  ($19.99 Value)

Then they had a drawing for a $40.00 door Prize.

I will say they didn't allow enough time to do these flowers and cards.  So most of my flowers still need to be finished and added to the cards that we put together.

They supply everything to make the cards except for your scissors and dimensional dots.

I"m going to post this and add more later.  I'm afraid of losing
what i have done so far.  So Come back soon

My Latest Card Creations

I made 16 of these for a Stamp Convention. Stamps are from

Wanted to see what the same card would look like in Purple and Lime Green.  I think it came out pretty good.  What do you think?

This one I added Dimension to the pot and the cactus's in the middle.
I want to make it look like there is 4 in the pot.

My Side Step Cards

Oh what fun I finally learned how to do these.  But I took the lazy way out and bought a framelet.
Or some called them a Die Cut.  It cut out the side step card.  I want to buy some for the other step cards too.

What is a step card you ask ?

Well it does not lay flat and open like a book.

It actually is like steps but big and little mixed.

Here are the 3 that I have created so far.

Well I finally took the step.  LOL

I made my very first Step Cards.  These were a blast to make.

Washi Tape Mittens

What is Washi Tape you might ask.  Well I just learned all about it in October when our Archivers Scrapbook Store was shutting down.  It is sort of a cross between Masking Tape and Sticky notes.  But in pretty colors.

Everyone told me you just have to buy some it is so awesome.  You can do so much with it.  So I bought a couple rolls and took them home.  And made some Christmas Cards.  Here is what they look like.

The following week they had an even bigger discount on entire store items.  So I bought more Washi Tape.  Friends were complaining saying did I leave any for them to buy.  Yikes.  LOL  Yes don't worry I did leave a FEW rolls for them. But I ended up buying around 30 rolls some doubles because I fell in love with the design.

I covered a light switch cover so that it would match the colors of the room I was decorating.

Pretty Cool Don't you think ?  Here is one I found on Pinterest.  After I made mine and was so proud thinking to myself (Can't wait to share this idea bet no one else has thought of it) ha ha ha  Boy was I wrong. grin

One more idea for you.  Then if you want to see a whole folder of ideas you will have to join my FaceBook Store.   Creative Crafts and Supplies.  Find the url below the following exampler.
