Paper Piecing My Newest Addiction

Ok if you are a crafter you know as well as I do addictions are easy to start.  Seems I have several.  Well I have A.D.D (Attention Deficit Disorder)  so that might have something to do with why I go in all directions.  Someone once said I can be on 20 subjects all in a matter of  ONE MINUTE.  

Each time I see something really neat I want to learn to do it too.  

So now I have been seeing some really great things on Etsy and have placed several orders before starting to talk to myself.  Am I the only one that does that ?  I sure hope not.  Anyways I was having a conversation about why should I pay for all of these when I could do this too.  I can use my Cricut and make little kids.  I could design scrapbook pages to sell.  There is so many things I could do with these.  I need to find out where I can get them.

I asked one Etsy Seller if she would PLEASE tell me where I can learn about this too.  She sent me to some of the following Websites.  I started off with getting a few free designs.  Printed them off then decided hmmm I think I will get some more.  One turned into 5, then 5 turned into 10 now I think I have about 100 designs.  But don't tell hubby I haven't made any yet.  I am collecting them.  LOL

Washi Tape Mittens

What is Washi Tape you might ask.  Well I just learned all about it in October when our Archivers Scrapbook Store was shutting down.  It is sort of a cross between Masking Tape and Sticky notes.  But in pretty colors.


Everyone told me you just have to buy some it is so awesome.  You can do so much with it.  So I bought a couple rolls and took them home.  And made some Christmas Cards.  Here is what they look like.

The following week they had an even bigger discount on entire store items.  So I bought more Washi Tape.  Friends were complaining saying did I leave any for them to buy.  Yikes.  LOL  Yes don't worry I did leave a FEW rolls for them. But I ended up buying around 30 rolls some doubles because I fell in love with the design.

I covered a light switch cover so that it would match the colors of the room I was decorating.

Pretty Cool Don't you think ?  Here is one I found on Pinterest.  After I made mine and was so proud thinking to myself (Can't wait to share this idea bet no one else has thought of it) ha ha ha  Boy was I wrong. grin

Finally my Blog & MY STORE

          Wow I have been searching for this blog.  Pretty bad when you lose something that you created.  I even pinned it on Pinterest so I could find it no problem.  Well that would have been good if I had remembered where I  pinned it.  Ha ha.  So now I made a board called Blogs to follow and yep I put mine in there.  I am not losing it again.  

So I hope everyone has been doing good.  Things are crazy around here.  Here is what I have been up to.  

 First off I opened an Etsy store which by the way you can find here....

Or if you have FaceBook you can find my other store on there and see discounts I give that I don't give on Etsy.  And listings go on my FB store first.  Oh and if the link below doesn't work just go to your FB page, and in search box type in this name below.  Then ask me to approve you.

WHY do I sent people to my FB Store?  Well because Etsy charges .20 cents to list items then Etsy takes a % of each sale.  But I will stay without Etsy I would not have Customers.  It is a great place to start up a store then pull your customers over to Facebook.

Have you possibly been thinking about Starting your own store for things you make and want to sell?  Wait don't just go to Etsy and sign up.  Click on the following link and get 40 FREE listings.  But wait there is more.  Once you list your very first item that is when your 40 FREE listings will start.  AND I get 40 free listings also.  But neither one of us get anything free until you list your first item.  So go for it, it is free to open the store.  And pretty easy to do.  If you get lost just ask one of us on Etsy for help.  Everyone is really nice and helpful

HELP Please w/Books I've Read

Ok I am making a page of Books I have read. For example I have read The Twilight Series. If you like that Series also this means we have a common type we like to read. And you might want to see what other books I have read that you might want to check out.

*****Now the problem. As I add books to the list it will make for a lot of scrolling. I would like to have a list at the top of all of this where you can click on the Book Title and go farther down where I have a picture of the book and what other books that are in that series. How do I do this at blogger.com?? Thanks to those that try to help.

Taco Pasta

I got this from Supermoms recipes, but did find the original after a lot of research. I modified hers a bit. Main reason I am putting this on my blog is so you don’t have to scroll through a ton of other stuff to find the recipe. Here is her slightly modified version of the original recipe. She repined it from The Girl WhoAte Everything who repined it from Fake Ginger Each one is a bit different. Check them out also. Supermom said It was quick, easy, and most importantly, DELICIOUS.

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground beef
• 8-12 ounces medium pasta shells
  
• 1 small onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes, drained
• 3 ounces cream cheese
• 1 packet (4 tablespoons) taco seasoning (might want to not use all)
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• Salt and pepper

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook pasta according to the package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water. Set aside.

In a large skillet cook the ground meat and onions over medium-high heat. Add in the diced tomatoes, garlic and taco seasoning and let simmer over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes.

TIP: She said " I used the entire taco seasoning packet. It was a bit overpowering, Consider cutting back on the seasoning packet."

Stir in the cooked pasta, cream cheese, sour cream and remaining pasta water. Continue stirring until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is well blended. Simmer for a few minutes over medium heat to reduce the sauce, if needed.
