HELP Me Make a Subscription Box

Ok if you didn't read my other article about Subscription box please stop and go read it first.

Subscription Boxes, Same as Mystery Boxes

Then come back here please.

Ok I have fun buying estate sale jewelry.  I buy and buy and buy and buy.  Well you get the point.  lol  But I buy through a lady that buys it first then sells it in sort of surprise bags.  I have so much fun as she puts in other items too.  Such as key chains, charms, even got a tiny set of NEW ear buds once.  So I just have so much fun.  But that means I get way to much jewelry.   So my craft room is getting taken over.

Some have got to go

I want to do something fun with them.  I can list them places like some are hand made or look hand made so I could put them on Etsy.  But that is not fun.  I want to make a subscription box.  I found I anyone can make one on Cratejoy.com but I can't understand the directions.  I need someone to walk me through step by step.   I can also make them on Etsy but I'm not sure if anyone buys them on there.

Next I want to put other fun things in with them.  I've kind of gotten stuck.  I don't want to make these that expensive but don't want to go in the hole with them either.  I have tiny nail polish bottles that are empty.  I figured I could buy nail polish and split the bottle into 3 or 4 little ones.  I can ad those.  But what else?  Fun pencils.

Maybe hand made book marks.

BUT where do I post them??  And how do I get them seen and found??

I also am thinking about doing some kids ones that are not an arm an leg.  Not jewelry.  lol  I just wanted one for my granddaughter but they are to expensive.  So I'm sure others are finding the same thing.

If you have any ideas please comment.  Hopefully no one else takes my idea.

Subscription Boxes same as Surprise Box or Mystery Box

Have you ever gotten a Subscription Box?  Have you ever heard about them?  Do you know what a Mystery Box?  Well they are all pretty much the same thing.

They are SOOOOO Much fun.  It is like getting a gift each month.

I finally broke down and signed up for a Succulent Box.  Oh wait I did Air Plant first.  Air Plant you don't plant in dirt.  You plant it in anything you want.  Even a toy.  lol

WHY?  Well it doesn't require to be watered.  You just put them in a glass, cup or some kind of container filled with water once a week.  Let them soak about an hour, pull them out shake them off and put them back where you had them.  Well I started killing them.  I can't water them when i water other plants.  So I would forget about them.

SOOOO I switched over to succulents.  I went to Cratejoy.com you have all kinds of choices.  I chose to only get 1 per month.

click on pic to take you to the link.

oh they send you directions on cute little business card size cards that are in color and glazed over.  It not only tells you how to take care of them, it tells what kind of plant they have sent to you.

The back of each one tells how to take care of them.

We have since signed up for other boxes. I like the Stickii club

My daughter gets a Nail Box
Her box is through another company to help support a foreign group of ladies supporting there families or something like that.
and

we got a candy box for my son.

He is 30 and has autism.  He loves getting a box each month.

He did cancel his and tried another which I can't remember name but we still get it and he talked us into signing but up for the one above also.  He shares with us doubles.  lol

Try them out they are awesome.  You can find just about every kind of subscription.  And it is so much fun to get mail each month that is NOT bills.

Preschool Learning Colors

I found this on a site through Pinterest.  I thought it was all written in Spanish so I went to my handy translator Bing.

Bing Translator

Was shocked to find out it was not Spanish it was Italian.

An important step in the growth of the child is the learning of colors. It's not a very easy process. The child will first have to identify the color, then learn the name and finally associate name and color. Here are some ideas!

This was written on there site.  I thought who could of said it better.  With respect to them here is there site.   Italian Site  Then I seen they too have someone in there family with Autism.  This link takes you to Early signs of Autism.  What is Autism.

Now Back to Learning about colors and creative ways to teach your child or preschoolers.

With each photo I will try and help you with ideas on how to create the items.  Or what supplies you will need to create them.

First lets use clothes pins

Click photo above to take you to Amazon
Click to see a larger Photo ...These Non Slip clothes Pins can be found on amazon click Here Non Slip

Click to see a larger Photo...You can find this little rack at Walmart or on Amazon.  Click on Amazon.

Click to see a larger Photo...Ok I would use colored Clothes Pins,  Use a dinner plate to draw a circle on White paper.  A ruler to section into 6 colors.  Color them in with crayons or markers.  You can laminate to protect your Color Wheel you Created.  For the little images.  You can buy a match game, or cut out squares on stamp an image and color it in.  Or find small images in magazines glue them on stiffer back ground then glue them onto your clothes pins.

Click to see a larger Photo....These are larger popsicle sticks with mini clothes pins found above.  The dots are stickers found by clicking on photo below.  on Amazon.

Click to see a larger Photo...This one is about the same as one above except they painted the clothes pins and wrote the color on them.  And there color wheel is divided into 10 pie peace shapes.

Here is 6 Colors

Just a few ideas.  Will try to post more soon.

Tiny Cactus from Wish.

If you have been to with you might have seen these.

Well I didn't get around to planting my little cactus so now she is this size.

I went on line and found how they say to replant them.

Not all of the adds show this.  I decided I am going to buy more.  I've bought 2 orders so far.  I'm going to order more.

And found out the more you order the cheaper in the long run.  Some Wish items if you order more than one they charge you several shipping cost.  Not this one.

Late Post Christmas Brooches

Brooches for December 2020 Senior Living Home.

Yes I am very late posting these but thought some of you might enjoy seeing what I made this year for the Seniors.  Ok last year around I think January I found a place that sold things that were sent back to places like Amazon.  I bought these for like 50 cents for a dozen.  But forgot to look for more.  So first here are the ones created with the stockings I bought on sale.

Click Photos below to see larger print.

For a few close ups

The packages at the top are thank you cards here are some pics

So here are the tags I created and cut out some of the gift tags in a different shape.  I used cardboard from Cereal boxes and some shiny gift wrap and ribbon I found that someone sent to me.  The Tags above I traced the Large bow making a template.  I cut out 12 like them.  I used Stampin Up Marker Olive Green and then painted on a glitter glue.  I had to do 3 coats to cover it to look like I wanted.  The Ribbon down the middle was Glitter Washi Tape.  These were so much fun to make.  Oh also I used my heat gun to dry the Green bows in between each coat.

I also ran out of Gingerbread men.  So I had to find my piece of cork someone gave me and make my own Gingerbread Men.  they are not as cute as store bought, but well had to do something.

Since I ran out of Stockings I decided to make some from scratch.  I looked through drawers and boxes then I remembered I had a tiny one someone had made me and it gave me an idea on how to make my bigger ones.

Don't remember what the stitching is called but here is a close up photo.
I also always put my made by on the back of each brooch I make
Making these led me to making tiny ones for my granddaughter Makayla'Jos new doll house.  And Then thought why not for my for my other granddaughter Aleigha's American Dolls.

Next Problem I ran out of the tiny little Gift Boxes.  So I needed to create more.
Next problem was how.  I used Styrofoam that comes in with things we buy.  Cut them into little cubes.  Used a glue gun to attach wrapping paper.   Learned glue would not hold.  Well I learned that after making several and then going to bed.  It did hold just took hours to dry.  My little assembly line went so much faster once I thought about Hot glue.
Next was the bows on tope.  What a mess and so hard until the end.  I figured out to cut strips and glue on.  Then tie the little bow out of a piece.  Then attach it to my box.  I think I used the Bunny Ears method to tie my bows.  And then well just had to make package for my girls.
Well I hope you enjoyed this blog.
