Posts for Prior Years

I usually do this every January.  This way you don't have to search
through posts to see what you might want to read from prior years.

What does that mean?

Well if you want to just glance you can look at the pics below.  Click the photo
below to enlarge.  I'm not sure I posted a pic from each post, but I tried to.

So Click the Photo and it ENLARGES

See something you want to read or check out?

Then click the link above the photo and it will take you to that year.
And if in the photo you seen you wanted to read something in July of that
year, then once you get to the year then click on the month.  Easy Peasy.

It WON"T
take you to a page you have to scroll through for weeks to find the
particular post you are looking for.

IT WILL

take you Right to that particular page you are searching for.

So why scroll through each year of posts when you can
scroll through a review,
see a brief pic and get a better idea if you want to read that post or not.

So lets get started.

My Paintings from Classes

I am so proud of paintings I have done in classes at Painting with a twist.
I thought it might be fun for others to see them.  Here is my artistic talent.  LOL
I will start with my first class 2 years ago.
October 2015
Wicked Momsicle
My First Painting at Painting with a Twist
My Second Class October 2015

The one to the far right is what the Teacher did during our class.

Blue Moon
3rd Class
Everyone LOVED my moon.  Then we painted over it.
I hated doing that.
My branches were a bit to thick.  Here is the painting the teacher did.

And others in my class.
My 2nd shot at branches and 2nd class.
24 November 2015
Galactic Moonlight
And others in my class.
3rd painting.  I'm a bit confused on class dates.
Just being Silly
After this one I got excited and got the painting bug.  I painted the following
paintings in my Journal.
4 November 2015
29 Nov 2015
Then I stopped.  Not sure why.  Next class
Finally I am back to painting.

This class I took in June of 2018 with my best friend Michele.
Cape Cod Calm
The Original is Top Right.  My cat tails look like sea weed.  lol
And I want to tell those who have never painted or even drawn anything.  Michele has NEVER EVER painted.  She is on the left.  So see even if you have Never done anything like this go have fun.  You will be amazed what you come home with.
My class in July 2018

Perfect Paradise
Now I know I need to fix my swing.  I now know how to draw it.  I came home and practiced on a piece of paper.  lol

This is the Original taught by the teacher.
And these Ocean pics inspired the following.
I bought this piece of wood cut out from GoodWill.

Price Justification at Painting with a Twist

Below you will find the link to find one near you.  But first
Let me tell you why you need to go have fun.
And Let me include my latest class I took and show pictures to help this not be to boring.

Sometimes we don't go do something that brings us joy and relaxes us because we
look at the cost and freak out.  But Lets break it down.

Ok for a 2 hour night away from kids enjoying ourselves at Painting with a twist is $35 most the time.  Now and then we might get to pay $25.  You or your spouse might say oh my gosh that is just way to high.  But wait and read below.

1 - You are there 2 hours and the Teacher needs to get paid.  Would you teach a class of adults or children for 2 1/2 hours for free?   I sure wouldn't.

2 - Supplies are not free.  And you don't have to bring any.  They supply everything needed.

1- They supply the canvas (usually a 16 x 20) which is about $7 at Hobby Lobby.
I'm sure they in bulk and get a discount, but they are not free.  And Easel.

2 - Paints - Have you seen the price of paints.  You need more than one color.
They are about $6 or more per tube.  They supply these.

3 - Paint Brushes - I am in shock on what they cost.  And I will say you can
get them cheaper through Hobby Lobby than through a company.  I'm just
learning what each brush is for.  The 1 1/2 to 2 inch flat is for covering your
backgrounds.  Did you know those are around $12 each or higher.  Now you can
get them in a pack with others, but you are still going to pay between $7 to $14 for
the pack.  And those prices just went up.  I know because I found a few cheaper
from old packaging and the newer are like $3 to $4 higher.

You usually use 3 to 4 brushes for each painting.  And I'm sure not everyone
takes care of there brushes.  So they have to replace them often i'm sure.

4 - Apron ....To keep your clothing from getting ruined.  They have to wash these now
and then also, so that is upkeep.  Even if done at one of the Employees homes, once
again would you work for free?
